Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Who do I contact if I need assistance?
A. You can email us at stitchandstorybox@gmail.com with any questions you have about your account or your subscription.
Q. I completed my checkout but my card wasn't charged. Why?
A. When you subscribe for the first time, your payment won't process until the 1st of the month (unless you're subscribing ON the 1st day of that month). For subsequent boxes, your card will be charged on the 1st of every month.
Q. How often will I be billed and what is the length of my subscription?
A. You will be billed on the 1st of each month for that month's box. The billing is recurring, month after month, until you unsubscribe through your customer portal.
Q. When checking out, I see a password that's already been created, but I didn't create it. What's that about?
A. Our payment processor is powered by Stripe, but paid through Link (kind of like Shop Pay). So if you've ever purchased anything from another website that uses Link, it will recognize your email address and prior password that you've set up. You can, of course, change the password by sending a one-time code to your email. All of these steps are to make sure your information is secure.
Q. I subscribed on the 6th day of the month. When will I receive my first box?
A. You will receive your first box the following month. For example, if you subscribe on June 6, you won't be charged for your first box until July 1st and your first box will ship on or before July 15th.
Q. Where do I go to unsubscribe?
A. First off, we would hate to see you go! If there's anything we can do to keep you as a customer, or make your experience better, please reach out to us before unsubscribing. We do understand that circumstances change, so if you need to pause or cancel your subscription, just head to your customer portal to find the option to unsubscribe.
Q. Why does my book have a dot or mark on the bottom (or top)?
A. Our inventory is made up of publishers' excess books, which are all unread and guaranteed to be in new condition. The dot/mark ensures that the book will not be returned to the publisher.
